2025 Conference
57th Annual General meeting
Date: 20th - 21st March 2025
Venue: James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor in Wellington.
Highlights:
- We unveiled our wonderful new website which has been in the works for a while.
- Enjoyed targeted discussions with Amanda Hanson from Dangerous Good Compliance as something we all have to deal with on a day to day basis.
- Got to see the world through a Main Contractors eyes with an engaging presentation from Simon Horrocks from Naylor Love.
- Had an insightful presentation by Brendon McLaughlin from NZI.
- Were treated to an inspiring and hilarious talk by the one and only Mike King who talked us through mental health issues in the modern world.
- Feasted on some fabulous dinner at the James Cook private buffet at awards night. This is always a highlight to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
- Friday we got our hands dirty with some hands-on training by Jim Ansley from DGL Bondlast Construction Products, and Todd Laidlaw and Perrine Sinclar from GCP. (With a lot of tasty treats!)
- We went out with more of a gentle glide than a bang on our stunning sunset harbour cruise with Sweet Georgia Cruising. The weather in Wellington really put on a show for us while we enjoyed a beautiful evening to close the 57th annual conference.

- Sound advice for company vehicles and their drivers from I Am Road Smart
- How to get staff engagement for Health and Safety
- Presentation from NZ Waterproofing Membrane Association
- Massive protein dinner at Wildfire Argentinian Restaurant
- Good technical presentation of resin flooring
- Business Mentors NZ on the benefit of using their wide range of mentors to help look at small business problems and future directions
- n3 proposal for Federation members
